Terms of Service

Effective date: 28 May 2026 · Last updated: 28 May 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mars Security applications for Slack and Microsoft Teams, each provided by Mars Security ("Mars", "we", "us", or "our"). The in-product Mars platform (app.marssec.ai) is provided under a separate written agreement between Mars and each customer; in the event of a conflict, that agreement controls for the platform.

By installing, accessing, or using either of the Apps, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Apps.

1. Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Apps. If you install or use an App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to that organization. The Apps require an active Mars platform account. If your organization does not have an agreement with Mars for the platform, the Apps will not function.

2. Description of the service

Each App connects an authorized workspace or tenant to a customer's Mars account so that Mars can support your security workflow, such as triggering threat hunts, delivering hunt-completion notifications, and sending analyst-approved messages. Available features differ by platform and may change over time as the service evolves.

3. Installation and authorization

The Apps are installed and connected from inside the Mars platform by following the steps for the relevant platform. Installation and setup may require an administrator to approve the App and to grant the permissions presented during the authorization flow. You are responsible for ensuring that the people who approve, install, or connect an App have authority to do so for your workspace, tenant, and organization.

4. Acceptable use

When using the Apps, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, or infringe the rights of others.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or systems or networks connected to the service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service, including by probing, scanning, or testing vulnerabilities without authorization.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code except to the extent permitted by law.
  • Use the service to transmit malware or to send unlawful, harassing, or abusive content.
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the service without our prior written consent.

5. Your responsibilities and data

You are responsible for your workspace or tenant configuration, the channels you designate for notifications, and the conduct of your users. As between you and Mars, you retain all rights to the content and data originating from your workspace or tenant. You grant Mars the rights necessary to process that data to provide and secure the service, as described in the privacy policy for the App you use (Slack or Microsoft Teams).

6. Third-party services

The Apps depend on third-party platforms and services that we do not control, including the messaging platforms they integrate with. Your use of those third-party platforms and services is governed by your separate agreements with their providers. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services, and your use of them is at your own risk.

7. Intellectual property

The Apps and all related software, content, and trademarks are owned by Mars or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Apps for their intended purpose. No other rights are granted.

8. Fees

Access to the Mars platform is provided under a separate commercial agreement. Except as set out in that agreement, the Apps are made available without additional charge. We may introduce or change fees in the future on notice.

9. Disclaimers

The Apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any findings or outputs will be complete or accurate. The service does not replace professional security judgment.

10. Limitation of liability

If you have a separate written agreement with Mars for the Mars platform, the liability terms of that agreement govern your use of the Apps and control over this section to the extent they conflict. If you do not have such an agreement, then to the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) Mars and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill; and (b) Mars's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Apps will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mars and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the service or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Term and termination

These Terms apply while you use either of the Apps. You may stop using an App at any time by uninstalling or removing it from the relevant platform, or by disconnecting the integration in the Mars platform. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

13. Changes to the service and these Terms

We may modify the Apps or these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, by notice through the Mars platform. Continued use of an App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms and any disputes relating to them are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable local law.
