How to get a faster answer

Including a few details up front helps us resolve your request more quickly. Where relevant, please tell us:

  • A short description of what you were trying to do.
  • Your Microsoft 365 tenant ID and, if applicable, the team and channel involved.
  • What you expected to happen and what happened instead.
  • Any error message you saw, and the approximate date and time it occurred.

Please do not include passwords, API keys, or other secrets in your message.

Common topics

Adding Mars to Microsoft Teams

A Teams administrator approves the Mars app for your organization and adds it to the team that should receive notifications, and a Microsoft 365 administrator grants admin consent for the requested Microsoft Graph permissions. For the full step-by-step guide, see the installation instructions on our home page.

Installation instructions →

Connecting the integration

In Mars, go to Integrations → Microsoft Teams and enter your Microsoft 365 Tenant ID. If the connection check fails, the most common cause is that admin consent has not been granted for the Graph permissions, or the Mars app has not been added to the target team yet.

Setting up hunt notifications

After connecting, go to Settings → Communications in Mars, enable Microsoft Teams, and select the destination channel from the list. Use Notify on verdicts and Minimum hunt severity to control when Mars posts.

Removing the app

You can stop notifications at any time by disconnecting the integration in the Mars platform, or by removing the Mars app from your Microsoft Teams environment. If you'd like help, contact us and we'll walk you through it.

Privacy and data handling

Our privacy policy explains what Mars collects from your workspace, how it's used, and what it never does. For any privacy-specific question, email mars-support@marssec.ai.
