These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mars Slack application (the "Slack App") and the website at marssec.ai (the "Website"), each provided by Mars Security ("Mars", "we", "us", or "our"). The in-product Mars platform (app.marssec.ai) is provided under a separate written agreement between Mars and each customer; in the event of a conflict, that agreement controls for the platform.
By installing, accessing, or using the Slack App or the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Slack App or the Website.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Slack App. If you install or use the Slack App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to that organization.
The Slack App connects an authorized Slack workspace to a customer's Mars account so that the workspace can trigger threat hunts, receive hunt-completion notifications, and let Mars send analyst-approved validation messages to users. Features may change over time as the service evolves.
The Slack App is installed from inside the Mars platform. By installing it, an authorized workspace administrator grants Mars the permissions (scopes) presented during the Slack authorization flow. You are responsible for ensuring that the person who installs the Slack App has authority to do so for your Slack workspace and organization.
When using the Slack App or the Website, you agree not to:
You are responsible for your Slack workspace configuration, the channels you designate for notifications, and the conduct of your users. As between you and Mars, you retain all rights to the content and data originating from your workspace. You grant Mars the rights necessary to process that data to provide and secure the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Slack App depends on Slack and other third-party services that we do not control. Your use of Slack is governed by your agreement with Slack. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services, and your use of them is at your own risk.
The Slack App, the Website, and all related software, content, and trademarks are owned by Mars or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Slack App and Website for their intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
Access to the Mars platform is provided under a separate commercial agreement. Except as set out in that agreement, the Slack App and the Website are made available without additional charge. We may introduce or change fees in the future on notice.
The Slack App and Website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any findings or outputs will be complete or accurate. The service does not replace professional security judgment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mars and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Slack App or Website. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Slack App or Website will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100), or, if you are a paying customer, the amounts payable under your separate agreement during the three months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mars and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the service or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
These Terms apply while you use the Slack App or Website. You may stop using and uninstall the Slack App at any time from your Slack workspace settings or by disconnecting the integration in the Mars platform. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
We may modify the Slack App, the Website, or these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, by notice through the Mars platform. Continued use of the Slack App or Website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms and any disputes relating to them are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable local law.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to mars-support@marssec.ai.
